CASANZ launches Australasia’s first certification program for Air Quality Professionals

The Clean Air Society of Australia and New Zealand is excited to announce the launch of Australasia’s first certification scheme, specifically for air quality professionals: the Certified Air Quality Professional (CAQP).

Accreditation as a CAQP member recognises expertise, professional achievements, integrity, and a commitment to excellence in maintaining and developing knowledge and skills as an air quality professional through the Continuing Professional Development program.

The new CAQP program enables CASANZ to formally recognise members for their professional expertise and ethical conduct. It raises the profile of air quality professionals amongst industry, research, government, academia, and the community.

Certified Air Quality Professionals champion CASANZ’s vision of Healthy Air For All – promoting science; advancing knowledge; engaging community.

As a special introductory offer, the Application Fee to become a CAQP will be waived until 31 July, 2016.  Take advantage of this fantastic offer now, click here.

Volunteers Needed – new CASANZ website

CASANZ is currently considering proposals to upgrade the current website, introducing new technology and features, including a member only access area.  The Administration Office needs help to review the proposals and help out during the project, providing knowledge in the areas of technical and functional aspects and also the look and feel of the new site.

If any member (regardless of location) has interest or experience in the technical or project implementation aspect of website development and has some available time to help out, please contact Vicki Callaway via Email.

The expected timeframe for the project is now until the end of 2017 and it is expected that approximately 2-3 hours per month of your time will be required.  Meetings will be held via teleconference.

CASANZ Turns 50

CASANZ will celebrate its fifty years of achievements throughout 2016/17 and we encourage all members to get involved.

\he Society has a great history and has been fortunate enough to have some wonderful experts who have diligently steered us to today, 2016!  To celebrate this journey, CASANZ is calling for volunteers to get involved and help us look at ways the Society can celebrate this fantastic achievement.  As all our members past and present have helped along the way, we invite you to get involved.  If you are interested in lending a hand, please send an email to Vicki Callaway, Email.

50 Years in Pictures

CASANZ is also interested in receiving contributions for the eNews, articles for the journal and photos showcasing air quality over the past 50 years.  If you have something that you think may be of interest or a photo that shows how air quality was managed back in the days, we would love to showcase these as part of our celebrations.  Your ideas, thoughts and photos can be sent via email to Vicki Callaway, Email.
