Clean Air and Environmental Quality Journal is the journal of the Clean Air Society of Australia and New Zealand. The journal is published quarterly in February, May, August and November.
The first issue of CLEAN AIR appeared in June 1967. For the first four years the Journal came out at irregular intervals. From 1971 onwards it appeared regularly in February, May, August and November.
A Subject Index and Author Index for the period to mid 2000 can be downloaded. The Subject Index is presented under 27 headings, shown below. To avoid taking up excessive space in the Subject Index articles have (with very few exceptions) been presented under one heading only. On occasions the decision as to which was the most appropriate category for a particular article was a matter of judgment. Users should therefore also look under headings that are potentially allied to their immediate subject of interest (most researchers do this as a matter of course anyhow).
The indices consist of Technical and Contributed Articles. Unless they had special significance, editorials, reports etc. were not included.
The categories used in the Subject Index are shown below:
Acid Rain, cloudwater acidity
Air pollution, air quality, general
Air pollution monitoring, air pollution surveys.
Air pollution meteorology
Air toxics, atmospheric chemistry, chemicals in the atmosphere.
Clean Air Society of Australia and New Zealand (CASANZ), a nongovernmental, nonprofit organization first formed in the late 1960's to bring together people with an interest in clean air and the mechanics of air pollution. Its focus is now expanded to encompass broader environmental management affairs, but with particular reference to air quality and related issues.
