INTRODUCTION TO AUSPLUME DISPERSION MODELLING Sydney - 29 July, 2010
The Ausplume dispersion model prepared by the Environment Protection Authority of Victoria (EPAV) is a widely used tool in air impact assessments. This course will increase your understanding of the fundamentals of air dispersion modelling and provide an appreciation of the applications and limitations of Ausplume. There will be an emphasis on the application of Ausplume to air quality management with practical exercises focused on model options, settings and interpretation of results.
There will be provision of an individual computer for each participant. The Ausplume version 6 program will be pre-installed on each computer. A workbook, morning/afternoon tea and lunch, will be provided.

Course Presenter: Dr Graeme Ross Consulting Air Pollution Modelling & Meteorology (CAMM)
Dr Graeme Ross, Managing Director of Consulting Air Pollution Modelling & Meteorology (CAMM) is a specialist in the development and application of air pollution models. He has extensive experience in air quality impact assessment for major projects, including those in complex geographical regions. The upgrade of Ausplume from version 4 to version 5 and more recently to version 6 was carried out by CAMM under contract to EPAV.
