Welcome to the VIC/TAS Branch

The Victorian branch committee recently met and has put together a plan for events for the year. We are planning a social catch up in May, training courses in July and a site visit in August. This will potentially be followed up in September with a cheese and wine event where we can discuss the impact of smoke on wine grapes in Victoria.

VIC/TAS Branch AGM and Werner Strauss Awards – 31 October, 2019

The CASANZ Victoria/Tasmania Branch committee is holding its end of year event to recognise excellence in our industry. On 31 October 2019, we will be holding the Werner Strauss Awards Night and AGM. The evening will also include the presentation of the 2019 Air Quality Champion to Dr. Fay Johnston and 2019 Clean Air Award to Dr. Andrea Hinwood. Both Award winning recipients were unable to attend the NZ Conference in Queenstown to be presented with the awards.

VIC/TAS Branch Event – 24 September, 2019 – CANCELLED

The Victorian / Tasmania branch will be hosting Guy Hitchcock from Richardo Energy for a talk on transport and low emissions cities based on his work in London. The talk will be an extended version of the talk he is giving at the 24th International Clean Air and Environment Conference in Queenstown so it will be a great opportunity for members who weren’t able to be at the conference to hear one of the talks. The talk will be followed by a discussion on how some of these techniques could be applied to transport development in Australian cities.
