This exciting course covers the many aspects of odour science. The course will be delivered using a mix of theory and hands-on computer applications culminating with a site visit to a waste water treatment facility on Day 4. Participants of the complete four day course will receive six CAQP-CPD points rather than the five points usually accrued for training courses.
Day registrations are also available:

Principal Process Engineer
Technical Leader – Odour Management
Stantec Australia Pty Ltd
As Technical Leader for Odour Management, Ian Evanson measures success by smell.
Ian boasts an impressive suite of involvement in more than 74 projects over a 22-year career, 13 with Stantec, which spans the odour control, wastewater design and gas scrubbing industries in Australia, the UK and Middle East.
Ian enjoys working in the wastewater industry, and gets a boost fixing odour problems that naturally occur with treatment plants, and improving people’s quality of life in the process.
One of Ian’s highlights was during the Oxley Wastewater Treatment Plant Project in 2006 where his biggest aim was to stop the stench. At the final community meeting Ian received the best client feedback ever – the group said they were delighted they couldn’t smell the plant anymore.
This course includes training in the use of CALApps software to drive the CALPUFF modelling system.
The course will utilise Surfer for presentation of odour contour plots.
