The EAQP are pleased to present the next in a series of informal sessions, introducing EAQPs to some of the faces of CASANZ.
Pushan Shah – SA/NT Branch President
Dr Pushan Shah, a Certified Air Quality Professional (CAQP), is the Principal Air Quality Scientist, Environment Protection Authority – South Australia, and President of the Clean Air Society of Australia and New Zealand (CASANZ) , SA/NT Branch.
As the EPA’s Principal Air Quality Scientist, Pushan is responsible for monitoring and improving our understanding of air pollution and its impacts on our South Australian communities. He delivers authoritative advice to government agencies and industries on how to avoid adverse air pollution impacts from industrial operations/developments.
Pushan provides leadership and direction to the provision of information designed to contribute to the achievement of air quality strategic goals of the EPA. He leads/mentors a team of professional scientists/engineers and is responsible for interpretation of more complex environmental data, initiating reviews, developing integrated air science tools, managing projects and engaging with communities. He is also responsible for EPA’s input to national programs such as the National Clean Air Agreement through his role as a representative on the National Air Quality Technical Advisory Group (NATAG) and Air Project Management Group (APMG).
Pushan brings extremely well-developed communication and engagement skills to bear in managing the expectations and respect of internal/external clients and communities.
