NSW/ACT BRANCH VIRTUAL TECHNICAL MEETING
The science of climate change, climate modelling, risks and hazards
Recording now available
The NSW Branch rescheduled their first technical meeting as a ‘virtual’ event, and held it on Tuesday, 26 May 2020. One of the advantages of holding a virtual event is that all members across Australia and New Zealand can join the event.
If you would like to learn more about NSW’s approach to regional climate modelling and how projections under various climate change scenarios are used to evaluate risks and hazards, please use the Join this event button to receive the downloadable recording of the meeting.
Technical presentations to include:
- Global and regional climate modelling – Nidhi Nishant (Climate Research Team at Dept. of Planning Industry and Environment)
- Exposure to multiple natural hazards in NSW under climate change – Nicholas Herold (Climate Research Team at Dept. of Planning Industry and Environment)
Recording: The meeting recording is now available to download. Purchase the event using the Join this event and you will receive the link to download via email.
Price: Free for members – $50 for non-members (note that students can join CASANZ for free)
