About the Presenter

Ayushi Kachhar

Ayushi currently works as an air quality scientist at NIWA and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in physics and geophysics from University of Auckland, New Zealand. She has three years of experience in air quality research and management in New Zealand.

My main research interest is to use low-cost technologies in air quality management and planning. I specialize in data analysis and empirical modelling of emissions using various statistical and GIS platforms. My current research activities include evaluating spatio-temporal relationships between local emissions and meteorology in valley-based towns, looking at spatial variation in traffic-related air pollution based on long-term monitoring networks, using low cost technology in understanding wood burning drivers and characteristics in New Zealand homes, and using air quality models as urban.
