Individual Membership is for anyone who has an interest or involvement in air quality and the environment. Individual Members have full access to all benefits, from training and events, through to Special Interest Groups and member discounts. In addition, Individual Members receive a subscription to the Air Quality and Climate Change journal, eNewsletters and access to the Members Only Library.
New memberships are charged on a pro-rata basis from July 1.
A one off joining fee of $50 applies.
Certified Air Quality Professional
The status of Certified Air Quality Professional is awarded to members in recognition of their expertise, achievements and commitment to excellence in maintaining and developing their knowledge within the air quality industry. CAQP status is available to members who meet the criteria and who maintain a minimum level of Professional Development annually. Applications to become a CAQP are assessed by the CASANZ Professional Accreditation Review Panel. A CAQP member receives the same benefits as an Individual Member.
CASANZ offers complimentary membership for students undertaking study in an under graduate degree in a course related to the field of air quality and environment and must be between the ages of 18 and 23 years old. Student membership can be maintained for up to five years with proof of age provided at application and a copy of an active student card to be provided to CASANZ each year. Student members do not have the right to vote or hold an office bearer position but may enjoy all the benefits of Individual Membership, including discounts on training and events, and access to the Air Quality and Climate Change journal (electronic).

Fellow Membership is awarded to members who have demonstrated a high level of professional achievement, made a significant contribution to the science of air quality and environmental management, and made a significant contribution through service to CASANZ or other professional environmental associations. Applications are assessed by the CASANZ Professional Accreditation Review Panel. Fellow members receive the same benefits as an Individual Member, as well as recognition across various mediums.
Retired Membership is available to any member who has held CASANZ membership for at least ten years, and who has retired from his or her full-time occupation. Retired members receive the same benefits as an Individual Member at a discounted fee, from training and events, through to Special Interest Groups. and are offered a reduced membership fee. In addition, Retired Members can be elected to a Branch Committee, as well as the Executive Committee. They also have voting rights and receive a subscription to all publications.
